Static provision of baroque church
Kadlec, Jaroslav ; Šiška, Radek (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The master´s thesis solves a static provision of the Baroque church of Saint James in Městečko Trnávka. The church was built in 1752 in Baroque style on the place of the original Romanesque church. It is a single-nave building with dimensions of about 46 × 20 m. The nave is followed by a massive square tower with a height of about 34 m. The reason for the restoration of the church are cracks in the external masonry and arch due to small space stiffness. The building will be reinforced by horizontal and transverse prestressing. They are designed prestressing tendons, called monostrands, using method of alternative cable channels. It will help to avoid other derformations and it will increase a stiffness of the structure.
Study of the existing bridge structure
Pokorná, Katka ; Olšák, Martin (referee) ; Klusáček, Ladislav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is the design of multiple variants of the existing slab bridge. The single-span bridge made of reinforced concrete provides a passage to the road that is 6,5 m wide. Natural bridge frequency dependence on first cracking and corrosion of the main bearing reinforcement process was assessed using RFEM software. Results confirmed that it is possible to assess corrosion of main bearing reinforcement rate by measuring natural bridge frequency.
Static provision of castle
Kulla, Lukáš ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this final thesis was static protection for castle in Miroslavské Knínice. It was necessary to explore several respects and find signs of violation. Next analyze and propose suitable assurance of individual parts. Separe into the stages of construction and to consider the proposal in terms of ensuring the resistance of materials. Finally create a detailed documentation in the range suitable for performance. Based on engineering geology and visual survey was designed horizontal bracing prestressing cables at three levels. The first level "A" consists of a closed circuit of prestressed reinforced concrete passports, supplemented by the cross and construction of prestressed reinforced concrete passports. Next level "B,C" is used to secure the top of the building. Levels “B,C” are proposed using prestressed cable in spare cable channels.

This dissertation thesis is pointed to production of lightweight table and bed legs. The subject of the work is to design a lightweight table legs, which is suitable for small businesses with basic machinery. The proposal was drawn up on the basis of information obtained from research developed on furniture market. The base condition of the proposal is the use of laminated chipboard with resolving sharp edges when combined joint of miter. Specifically, the foot was designed for manufacturing companies DSP furniture. Thanks to the cooperation with the company were made 3 kinds of feet with different types of connections and two dining tables. In the proposed and designed foot strength of construction was tested. At the tables were tested durability and stiffness of the construction with different options for the connection to table rib and legs. All tests were organized in an accredited furniture laboratory of Mendel University in Brno. The dissertation thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theory related to the issue of lightweight table legs. The second part is practical, focusing on the production and testing of quality of designed legs. The knowledge and outputs are summarized in the conclusion, part of the dissertation thesis attached drawings documentation.
